Kimber is currently focused on exploring for and developing mineral deposits in Mexico. The flagship project for the Company, "Monterde" is located in Chihuahua state about 260 kilometres southwest of Chihuahua city in the heart of the Sierra Madre Gold belt. The Company has been active here since acquiring the property as a private company in 2000.

Current work on Monterde is focused on compilation of geological data for the purpose of outlining different silver-recovery zones within the deposit and building a detailed geologic model of the deposit. Once complete this model will form the basis for economic studies. In addition, a reconnaissance program on the remaining 95% of the property has identified numerous areas with anomalous values of gold and silver. Two new drill targets have been identified from sampling and geological mapping. In addition the underground potential on Carmen has yet to be explored in detail and is a priority for 2008.

Kimber has  two  other properties In addition to the Monterde property (29,000 hectares and 37 kilometres in length). The Pericones property is over 11,000 hectares in size and is located approximately 100 kilometres southwest of Mexico City in a belt that is well known for occurrences of high grade silver veins. The 10,000 hectare Setago property is located approximately 15 kilometres West of Monterde. The prospect consists of a  color anomaly with strong hematite and lesser silicic alteration hosted in felsic volcanic rocks.

The Monterde property is accessible via paved highway and 35 kilometres of logging roads.
